On leaving Panama

After spending about six months in Boquete Panama I had to head back To the U.S. I had had a great time there and made some really nice friends. They are About 5000 expats living in that area mainly November through April. The amount of activities and organization for expats to participate in is amazing.I really enjoyed trying out various groups that I thought I would have an interest in. As a result I had a good idea that it was the place I would like to spend my winter's at least for the next few years. I plan to spend the next two weeks in Costa Rica before I get to the United States

I am now in Zancudo Costa Rica A small but beautiful Pacific coastal town.I hit the beach each morning  and have it all to myself. There are a lot of monkeys, many varieties of birds, a multitude of beautiful butterflies, and of course many weird bugs. The howler monkeys greet me in the morning  with their loud roars. They sound  many times larger than they actually are.

I love all the fresh fruits and veggies and fish that people provide for themselves here. Jumping the waves, swimming in the temperate ocean, and taking long walks on the beach have been a real joy for this wonderful week here. There are many interesting people who live here year around. Many are retired surfers who are still surfing into their fifties and sixties. An admirable group.

I hope to come back with a  friend in the near future. There is still so much to be done and seen on this Beautiful planet.
